...Avery and her mouse friend while waiting in line at the Charleston Visitors Center.
Avery went for her first hair cut today. Under the careful guidance of Heather and a trained professional hair-dresser she got her hair trimmed. As you can see she didn't seem to care much as long as she had plenty of animal crackers in her ziploc! She's cuter than ever and can see much clearer now without all the hair in the way :-)
Well - not really woods but 10 acres of corn - yes - that's 1-0 acres! It was fun...at the beginning...and at the end but not so much in the middle though when most of my family were panicked and relying on my Native American instincts to kick in and get us out. Some of us resorted to eating the corn for nourishment (or maybe it was a feeble attempt at eating their way out). Other younger members of our party chose to walk ahead of us and cheat their way out by bulldozing over the corn (Samantha & Matt!) While others knew that I would come to the rescue (as usual) and guide the family safely to the finish line. In the end, Native American ingenuity prevailed and we emerged from the cold, dark, wet corn field unscathed. Did I mention that it was 10 acres of corn?!
We had a great time spending the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Liddle. Sitting with the birds, hunting cats on the computer, playing with snakes and listening to "Rocky Top". Oh yea - and also watching Grandma pose for pictures :-) We'll miss them but I know we'll see them again real soon.
She's also the shyest one too! Unfortunately, the last picture in the series is the "after" shot from the Cincinnati game (Bulls lost 34-17). She takes the losses much like her Mom and Dad. Boo - hoo....
Go Bulls!
But Mommy - it's not the 80's any more!
Note - no children were harmed during this photo shoot
I just love my shiny new slippers with built in flashing lights (batteries included). The right slipper is not as responsive as the left - I don't mind though :-)
